The curriculum for students is based on individual skill level and may be the same as what is offered in traditional public schools; however, the difference is the methodology utilized in the implementation. This is achieved by combining state standards and guidelines with the methodologies and best practices of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB). In addition, all direct-care staff are thoroughly trained in the ABA-VB method and are trained Behavior Technicians. This methodology assists the students in achieving their highest potential, as the behavioral issues that are common with the ASD population are appropriately addressed so as to not interfere with learning.
